Emmet Blanchette is a full stack designer committed to effectiveness in concept to craft
He studied at Rochester Institute of Technology focusing on how UX design, systems, and motion can scale to fit the needs of a full product lifecycle. He was previously at The New York Times and FTL Labs, and he's currently a product designer at Ark building the future of virtual bioprocess simulation.
Emmet believes that good design always starts with diligent research and developing a deep understanding of the user. He thrives in making complex, technical workflows coherent and transparent, and he believes it's vital to always keep moving, iterate quickly, and experiment freely.
A few of the things he enjoys: lifting weights, growing tropical plants, snowboarding, kinetic typography, and cultural anthropology. He's currently learning Mandarin.
